Gary W. Wood is an experienced shareholder in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. His areas of expertise include administrative law and criminal defense in federal, state and municipal courts, as well as expungements, pardons, paroles, representation of individuals before state and federal agencies.
Mr. Wood has represented businesses and individuals in front of numerous state agency boards, including the Nursing Board, Funeral Board, State Board of Behavioral Health and Department of Human Services, among others He has also represented individuals in proceedings brought by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority in relation to claims for overbilling. On a federal level, Mr. Wood has represented individuals in exclusion hearings conducted by the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Mr. Wood also has experience navigating Oklahoma multi-county grand jury proceedings, as well as jury trials in criminal, civil and personal injury litigation.
Mr. Wood earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1995. He received his bachelor’s degree in professional studies/aviation in 1992 from the University of Oklahoma, as well.
Mr. Wood is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and Oklahoma Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma, the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
