Janet S. Dumont is a member of the Employment & Labor Law, Employee Benefits & ERISA, and Healthcare practice areas in the Oklahoma City office. She represents both public and private employers, VEBAs, insurance companies, third-party claims administrators, health care providers, insurance agents and brokers.

Ms. Dumont is widely recognized for her Affordable Care Act expertise as it relates to employers and group health plans. She carries in-depth expertise in health care plan design for self-insured plans, HIPAA privacy and ongoing federal and state laws compliance, including ERISA and IRS.

Ms. Dumont obtained her Juris Doctor from The University of Tulsa in 1987 where she was named to the dean’s honor roll. She received a bachelor’s degree in art with a minor in art history and education from the University of Oklahoma in 1986, and earned her master’s degree in education from the same university one year later.

Ms. Dumont is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and Oklahoma Bar Association. She is a frequent speaker at seminars related to self-insured health plans, HIPAA privacy and ongoing federal and state laws compliance, including ERISA, IRS and the Affordable Care Act. She is admitted to practice law for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, the State of Oklahoma and the Supreme Court for the State of Oklahoma.
