Charles S. Chapel is an of counsel attorney in the firm’s Oklahoma City office, where he practices criminal and commercial law.

Mr. Chapel graduated from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 1968. He completed his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University, where he graduated with honors in 1966. Mr. Chapel also earned his LLM degree, recognizing him as a Master of Laws, from the University of Virginia in 1998. His thesis, “The Irony of Harmless Error,” was published in the Oklahoma Law Review in 1998.

Mr. Chapel served two terms as the presiding judge of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. He is also a member of the Conference of Chief Justices, Oklahoma County Bar Association and Oklahoma Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, the United States Supreme Court and the Northern District of Oklahoma.
